Lord of Life Lutheran Church seeks to serve our congregation and community in a caring Christian Way. This is in support of our Church Mission Statement:
As a CHRISTIAN community
We share God's unconditional LOVE
WELCOME all people
Help one another to GROW in our FAITH
Go out and CARE for others.
From the beginning the people of Lord of Life have had a real desire for worship, and a heart for outreach. We believe this is a faithful attempt to address Jesus’ two greatest commandments: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength…and love your neighbor as yourself.”
We enjoy having four or five generations worshiping, learning and serving together – a visible reminder that God calls the young and the young at heart alike! Our desire is to continue to grow in our diversity to better reflect the fullness of the Kingdom of God, where all people have worth, and where all have gifts and talents to share.
We also believe that in response to God’s love and grace shown to us, we are free to love and serve our neighbor. Four weeks a year we serve as a host congregation for Family Promise providing shelter to homeless children and families. We sponsor ongoing collections for Bluffton Self Help, BackPack Buddies and Hopeful Horizons. Many of our folks are involved with Habitat for Humanity, the USO, and other community ministries.
Love God + Love Neighbor. That’s what we hope to be about. We invite you to come and see for yourself.
